Canoeist Sebastian Brendel wins bronze at the European Games

Congratulations! Sebastian Brendel has done it again. We’re thrilled that he has won a bronze medal at the European Games in Minsk, Belarus in the discipline in which he’s the reigning Olympic champion: the 1,000-metres canoe single (C1). This triumph has given the 31-year-old from Potsdam – Germany’s most successful canoeist – fresh impetus after a season that hadn’t gone very well for him so far. Brendel is taking his minor World Cup setback in Poznan, Poland in his stride, seeing it as good motivation for training and competitions – and an opportunity to throw down the gauntlet to his opponents.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for our favourite athlete as he prepares to aim for his fourth Olympic Gold next year in Tokyo.

GO! Express & Logistics is Sebastian Brendel’s main sponsor. Last year, Brendel won his fourth World Championship gold medal, making history in the 1,000-metres C1 in Portugal. He has a superb track record, having won gold three times at the Olympics and taken home numerous World Championship medals.
