Successful extension of GO! General Overnight audits
'Quality management systems' certification renewed. More international depots receive certification.



Bonn. The high level of quality management at GO! General Overnight Service (Deutschland) GmbH, the largest independent express courier network in Germany, has been confirmed by the annual audit. Since 2002, GO! has regularly submitted itself to the strictest of controls on its organisation and services. The auditors from the Germanischer Lloyd company could come up with no complaints for the second consecutive year. Detlef Hegenbarth, who is responsible for quality management in the GO! network, was pleased with the outcome, "To us, the audit is a good, objective acknowledgement of the high level of our quality. Our system has had a delivery quality of almost 99% for several months now. A figure like that is outstanding, and not only in comparison with other service providers."
This year another two depots, in Prague and Luxembourg, joined the ranks of GO! partners with certification. Both depots passed the audit first-time with no reservations. For Norbert Suttarp, making sure that this quality prevails internationally is a top priority, "Last year we were able to welcome our partners in Austria and Switzerland into the ranks of those with certification. This year, those ranks are being augmented by Luxembourg and the Czech Republic. The international GO! network goes on growing - but it is maintaining the same, certified level of quality. This is the only way that GO! is prepared to pursue international expansion."

2004 is a company anniversary in two respects - The overnight express system began life as ADK ("Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Kurierdienste) in 1984. In 1994 the network made the decision to operate under the name GO! General Overnight.

Since those beginnings, GO! has become the market leader amongst medium-sized enterprises in Germany, and is now the leader in terms of quality in the CEP industry. Overnight delivery continues to be the core business of the express system. The many additional and added value services fall under the suffix 'Express and Logistics' since the umbrella branding strategy was launched with some vigour, early in 2002.

The seeds have already been planted for the future - the greater international involvement, vigorous pursuit of superior quality standards and strategic partnerships entered into in the recent past ensure that GO! will continue to be highly ranked in the express market.
