Ralf-Hans Dierks given greater authority at express specialist GO! General Overnight
Bonn. The express service provider GO! General Overnight has responded to the dynamic growth it has achieved in recent years by giving their business manager Ralf-Hans Dierks (39) what is known in Germany as a "Prokura" and which confers far greater authority on the holder.
MD Norbert Suttarp has, for some years, been seeking to centralise more decision-making authority for the German national network at the headquarters in Bonn. In conferring this "Prokura", Suttarp believes this is a step in the right direction, "In granting Ralf-Hans this 'Prokura', we have chosen to recognise a manager who has already shown significant decision-making capability. A system such as GO!'s, that is constantly expanding, also has to remain flexible and to ensure that it can react rapidly to avoid hiccups."
Dierks began his career in logistics as a forwarding agent with Danzas in his native Cologne. He was first given 'Prokura' authority from 1994 to 2001 when he was commercial manager at Zwez-Chemie GmbH in Lindlar, Cologne. Since 2001 he has been in charge of Finance and Accounts at GO!, while the Purchasing and Controlling departments will now be added to this.
