GO! General Overnight pursue their expansion strategy with Key Account Management - they will have centralised customer care for national companies and major clients


Bonn. The medium-sized express logistics company GO! General Overnight are taking a major leap. By implementing a Key Account Management system, GO! General Overnight Service (Deutschland) GmbH are facing up to the requirements of nationwide company networks and major clients with high despatch volumes. Matthias Fritsche (38) is the man to take on the task of developing centralised customer care at GO!, who have a great reputation for quality. This is a significant step towards extending GO!'s lead in the medium-sized CEP market.


For companies operating throughout the country, who may be set up as groups or networks, GO!'s Key Account Management division will make it the perfect partner to satisfy their logistical requirements. In the future, such clients will be tended to from a single, central point at the company's Bonn head office. Orders will continue to be managed through a decentralised system, via GO!'s associate companies and partner network both nationally and internationally, with the quality that they have become known for.

Key Account Manager Matthias Fritsche has been working in the CEP market for 15 years, including with TNT distribution depots and the old EMS courier company. In recent times he ran his own national and international mailing operation. Fritsche's first tasks as he develops the Key Account Management system will be to assess client potential and to bundle customer care at a central level. GO!'s regional partners will be able to benefit from using appropriate contractual conditions when managing consignments. Fritsche explains, "This is GO!'s way of making it easier to deal with modern group and company structures as equal partners."


GO! MD Norbert Suttarp says that setting up this Key Account Management system will make a significant contribution towards building the GO! brand, "This constitutes a flexible response to the challenge of economic globalisation and consolidation. At the same time, we're sticking to our strategy of pursuing high quality through decentralised organisational structures. Key Account Management will bring us one step nearer to the industry's 'Big Five', and give us a real chance to gain further market share."
