Ever more direct with GO! General Overnight: New direct links extend overnight route network
Bonn. From September, courier and express service provider GO! General Overnight Service GmbH Deutschland are extending their route network for overnight despatch by adding new direct connections between their most popular cities and regions. Setting up direct connections will mean considerable shortening and optimisation of the process chain. Customers in the respective cities and regions will benefit from improved collection and delivery times for consignments.
The direct links have become necessary due to business volume, which continues to grow rapidly. The first new direct route will start running between the depots in Berlin and Hamburg in September. The regions of Rhine-Main and Rhine-Ruhr will be linked up at the same time, with GO!'s depot in Bonn functioning as a regional hub. Meanwhile the Bad Hersfeld hub, which is at the centre of the overnight system, will remain the central shipment point for national consignments and consignments that are carried by non-direct routes.
Direct connections between other cities and regions are planned for launch in Spring 2005. In the second phase, GO! General Overnight will be bundling consignments from the South around Stuttgart and Munich, and connecting the area with new, direct routes to the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Ruhr areas. GO!
