Bonn. Since being founded in 1984, GO! General Overnight Service (Deutschland) GmbH have become Germany's largest network of regional courier services.

The enterprise now has 15 associate companies in 60 locations throughout Germany and neighbouring countries. Since 2002, the independent courier network has been pursuing a new brand and product strategy by offering, for the first time, its entire product range throughout the country and under a single, standardised brand management.

GO! General Overnight's despatch experts in Germany offer a local, national and international despatch service, in various forms, for parcels and documents. GO! responds quickly, reliably and flexibly to customer needs. In fact, just as their motto - "Everything goes!" - suggests. Market demands are properly satisfied by developing new product sectors.

As well as the product GO! Germany' - the core of the overnight delivery business - regional and city-based transport is labelled 'GO! City & Region' and has long been providing top quality service. The products 'GO! Specials' and 'GO! Solutions' stand for tailored carriage options and added value services, while the 'GO! Worldwide' product division looks after all international carriage.

GO!'s MD, Norbert Suttarp, banks on partnerships and on setting up new company depots abroad to meet the demands of international business. Comprehensive connections with the Netherlands, France, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland and the Eastern European states already exist and are being upgraded. This global orientation makes the association qualified to partner any company operating worldwide. The newly launched air route between Kassel and London/Luton is another means of raising GO!'s profile in the international express sector, and further air connections are planned.

The market's increasing demand for consignment flow speed and flexibility are to be catered for by deploying modern, innovative information logistics. The transport chain can be designed most effectively, also in ecological terms, using targeted communications. "Our focus on flexibility isn't only concerned with time, but also on the range of items to be carried", points out Norbert Suttarp. "We place more emphasis on strong customer relations and customisation than on the politics of mass."

GO! General Overnight's commitment to a customer-service philosophy and its superior quality have established the enterprise as one of Germany's top CEP service providers. Such a claim is backed up by its DIN:ISO certification, granted in September 2002, while it is also confirmed by independent courier tests, such as that carried out by the "Stiftung Warentest" magazine in its December 2001 edition, which identified GO! as the top company and put it in the "very good" category.

Vital components of the strategy the 'big small-fry' in the CEP sector will be pursuing in future years will be to retain leadership in terms of quality and to position itself in the future European market via an international network under the GO! name.
